At this time of extreme divisions in the U.S., the nation faces numerous economic challenges including how to restore fiscal responsibility, create more growth and mobility, make taxes fairer and more efficient while improving health, education, and the environment. A group of distinguished economists with very different perspectives has now released a with recommendations in each of these areas. Their work indicates that it is possible to disagree but still find common ground.
On Tuesday, December 3, Brookings and the will host several of the authors, as well as outside experts and policy makers, to discuss the recommendations outlined in the report.
